On July 23rd, I will join the Logophile Reading Series at Reading Frenzy with Leni Zumas as the special guest reader.

Fouladi Projects presents The Prieto Family Show: A Growing Tradition of Artistry. On view will be new and historical work spanning three generations of Prieto family artists: ceramics by Antonio Prieto, Eunice Prieto Damron, and Mark Prieto, as well as hand-blown glass by Esteban Prieto, wood and stone pieces by Paco Prieto, porcelain ware by Nori Obata, screen prints and zines by Laurel Prieto, plus my own written contributions. The exhibition will be on view June 9th – July 10th. Opening reception for the artists: June 12th, 6 – 8pm.

So happy to announce I have been invited to attend the 2015 Tin House Summer Writer’s Workshop. I will be workshopping my novel-in-progress with novelist and short story writer, Karen Shepard.

On May 7th, the Mentor Writing Committee at Portland State University will offer training for instructors who wish to develop their students’ writing through peer review. We will focus on various methods and approaches to conducting successful peer review workshops.

Visit Bare Bones Cafe this Sunday to hear the poetry and prose written by students in the MFA program at Portland State University. The reading starts at 5pm, I will share a short story in the first half of the evening.

On April 22nd, I will facilitate ABCs training for writing instructors on behalf of the Mentor Writing Committee at Portland State University. The workshop will focus on constructive attitudes and approaches to implementing writing assignments, different practices for different writing stages, as well as creative writing exercises.
